Founded in 2015 by Martin Feldmann and John Hart, Professor and Department Head at MIT, VulcanForms manufactures complex, high-performance metal components at industrial scale through its integrated manufacturing platform.
The company works with customers to design parts and applications while owning and developing the manufacturing process as a single system. Using deep process expertise, VulcanForms creates production recipes that integrate additive manufacturing, machining, and inspection into a unified flow, connected by a continuous digital thread. Each part is modeled, simulated, and validated within this environment before production, ensuring performance, repeatability, and production at scale.
VulcanForms deploys and operates these systems as full factories and manufacturing campuses, built to anchor and scale U.S. industrial production. Through these factories, the company produces large volumes of critical metal components across aerospace, defense, medical, consumer, and industrial applications, powering the systems modern industry depends on.
“We build manufacturing from first principles and scale it to factories that produce the critical components that power American industry and next-generation technologies.”
