Gimlet is an inference cloud designed to run AI agents across diverse hardware, delivering 3-10X faster performance for the same power envelope.

Gimlet Labs was spun out of a Stanford research project and founded by Zain Asgar, Michelle Nguyen, Omid Azizi, Natalie Serrino, and James Bartlett. The team founded Gimlet out of the belief that AI inference would become the decade’s defining infrastructure challenge. Rather than building on homogeneous GPU infrastructure, Gimlet designed its platform with hardware heterogeneity at its core, and their software automatically slices and maps agentic workloads across diverse hardware for step-change performance benefits.

Gimlet emerged from stealth in October 2025 with eight-figure revenues and as of March tripled its customer base, adding a top frontier lab as a customer, and announced its $80M Series A raise.

Gimlet’s mission is to make AI workloads 10-100X more efficient by expanding the pool of usable compute and driving innovation in how workloads are orchestrated across it.

““We’ve entered a fundamentally new era of computing where the speed of intelligence has become the critical bottleneck.” ”
